Today preschoolers were baking biscuits for mum’s for Mother’s Day Baking is a fun activity that can cover so many areas of learning and development 1. Language and communication - following instructions and talking about different ingredients and process 2. Physical development- using fine motor skills to pour, mix, roll and cut 3. Maths - measuring counting, using scales, talking about and recognising numbers, comparing quantities 4. Understanding of the world- learing about different textures and where ingredients are coming from and what happens when we mix different ingredients and textures and different ways of cooking in different recipes, cultures and dietary needs 5.
